New England soil compacts, and compacted soil grows thin grass no matter how much you feed it. Aerating in late summer, then seeding straight into the holes, is the single best thing you can do for a tired lawn.

What's included
Core aeration
We pull one-and-a-half to three inch plugs out of the ground and leave them to break down.
Overseeding
A fescue, Kentucky bluegrass and perennial ryegrass mix chosen for shade and traffic on your property.
Starter fertilizer
An organic-based starter with calcium so the new seed comes in fast and thick.

When should this be done?
Late August through early October. Spring seeding fights crabgrass and rarely takes as well.
What do I do after?
Water lightly every day for two to three weeks, and stay off it as much as you can. We'll leave you a schedule.
