April to October

Plantings & Garden Beds

New beds cut and shaped, or tired old ones replanted. We pick plant material that actually survives a Norfolk County winter, set it at the right depth and mulch it in so it establishes instead of struggling.

Newly planted and mulched garden bed along a farmhouse in Norfolk County

What's included

01

Bed layout and edging

New beds laid out with a hose line so you can see the shape before we cut, then spade edged clean.

02

Soil prep

Compost worked into the planting area, because most beds around here are stony till or thin builder loam.

03

Shrubs, perennials and small trees

Plant material sourced from local growers and matched to the light, soil and salt exposure of the spot.

04

Planted and mulched

Set at grade, backfilled, watered in and mulched, with the burlap and wire baskets cut away properly.

05

Clean finish

Pots, tags and spoils hauled off, walks blown clean before we leave.

Common questions

Still wondering something? Call Jonathan at (508) 254-7334 and get a straight answer.

Do you design the beds or do I pick the plants?

Either way. Most people tell us the look they want and how much maintenance they are up for, and we come back with a plan and a plant list.

When is the best time to plant?

Spring and early fall are both good. Mid-summer plantings need watering help, so we will tell you if it is better to wait.

Is there a guarantee?

We stand behind our installs. If something we planted fails in the first season and it was watered, we make it right.
