Sod & Lawn Renovation

When a lawn is more weeds than grass, patching it is throwing money away. We strip it out and start over, either with sod for an instant lawn or a full seed renovation for a better long term result at a lower cost.

What's included

01

Honest assessment first

We check the loam depth and compaction before we quote. If the lawn can be saved with aeration and overseeding, we say so.

02

Strip and prep

Old turf and weeds removed, area tilled or slice seeded, loam added where the profile is too thin to root into.

03

Grading and drainage

Low spots filled and grade pulled away from the foundation so water leaves instead of sitting.

04

Sod or seed

Sod for an instant lawn, or a tall fescue and bluegrass renovation seeded into prepped soil with starter fertilizer.

05

Follow up

A watering schedule you can actually follow, plus a check-in visit once it is up to make sure it is filling in.

Common questions

Still wondering something? Call Jonathan at (508) 254-7334 and get a straight answer.

Sod or seed?

Sod costs more and looks finished the day we leave. Seed costs less and roots deeper over time. For a front yard people see, sod usually wins. For a big back yard, seed.

Why no starting price?

It depends on square footage, access for machines and how much loam the site needs. We measure the area and give you a written number.

How long before I can use the lawn?

Sod takes about two to three weeks to knit down. A seeded renovation wants a full season of light use before it takes real traffic.
